How to calibrate a pH sensor
To calibrate a pH sensor, follow these steps:
Fill a clean, dry beaker with a known pH standard solution. The pH of this solution should be within the range of the sensor.
Carefully immerse the pH sensor in the solution, making sure that the reference electrode is fully submerged.
Using a pH meter or pH meter calibration solution, check the pH of the standard solution to confirm its accuracy.
Use the pH meter or pH meter calibration solution to adjust the pH of the standard solution, if necessary, to match the known value.
Using the pH meter or pH meter calibration solution, check the pH of the standard solution again to confirm that it has been adjusted to the correct value.
Once the standard solution has been properly adjusted, use the pH controller (SimplCal®) to calibration feature to calibrate the pH sensor. SimplCal® is makes calibration Real Simple. on.
After the pH sensor has been calibrated, test its accuracy by measuring the pH of a sample solution. Compare the results to a known pH value or a pH meter calibration solution to confirm that the sensor is providing accurate readings.
If the sensor is not providing accurate readings, repeat the calibration process until it is properly calibrated.
